Awake // Asleep

I’ve spent a lot of time moving through the day without really being in it, noticing how easily the hours can flatten into something smooth and unmarked. There’s a quiet exhaustion in that — the slow pull of drifting on autopilot, set against the part of me that still wants to feel something sharp and present. I call this Awake // Asleep, not as a claim, just as a way of naming where staying conscious and slipping back into ease sit beside each other. In this pullover hoodie, I notice a long, steady line that holds, and one place where it breaks before settling again. Sometimes it feels like smooth ground broken once, then smoothed again.
