Awake // Asleep

I’ve spent a lot of time moving through the day without really being in it, noticing how easily the hours can flatten into something smooth and unmarked. There’s a quiet exhaustion in that — the slow pull of drifting on autopilot, set against the part of me that still wants to feel something sharp and present. I call this Awake // Asleep, not as a claim, just as a way of naming where staying conscious and slipping back into ease sit beside each other. In this recycled beanie, I notice a long, steady line that holds, and one place where it breaks before settling again. Sometimes it feels like smooth ground broken once, then smoothed again. The red diamond is where my attention returns when that shift becomes noticeable — not a fix, just a small, physical point I come back to while both states continue.
